Lake Taneycomo

Lake Taneycomo is without a doubt Missouri’s best trout fishing. Lake Taneycomo is considered by many Missouri residents to be the best trout fishing in the state.  Lake Taneycomo was created in 1913 after the completion of the Power Site dam on the White River.  Lake Taneycomo was a warm water lake consisting of bass and pan fish.  It was not until 1958 with the completion of Table Rock Dam that Lake Taneycomo became a cold water lake perfect for trout.  The water released into the lake from the dam has a cold temperature due to the water being used to turn generators for power production.  After the completion of Table Rock Dam, Shepherd of The Hills fish hatchery opened.  The Hatchery is located less than 300 yards below the dam and supplies Lake Taneycomo with over 700,000 rainbow and brown trout per year for stocking. Bull Shoals Lake

Bull Shoals Lake – A Branson Resident Favorite Bull Shoals Lake is a favorite among Branson, Missouri locals for calm water and small crowds.  Bull Shoals is shared by both Missouri and Arkansas and can be accessed off of Hwy. 76 between Branson and Forsyth.  Although this lake is maintained by the Army Corp of Engineers, the K road boat dock is free parking and is located next to a marina.  Bull Shoals is the most unique lake in Southwest, Missouri. Branson AquaPlex

The 12,250 Sq. Ft. Branson, Missouri AquaPlex The AquaPlex Center is located and Branson RecPlex. Featuring a zero-depth leisure pool complete with play structures and a splash make this water establishment perfect for young children.  At the Branson AquaPlex adults can enjoy a six lane, lap swimming area, a diving well, basketball goal and two water slides.  The swimming area has a large deck with shade structure, lounge chairs and Tables. The AquaPlex is Branson’s newest water attraction and will be open for the first time on Memorial Day.  Open season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  A membership to the Branson AquaPlex is not required.  Water diapers for children under two are available at the concession station.  This is a requirement.  Only Coast Guard flotation jackets are allowed in the pool area.
